Swansea University - Postgraduate Research Scholarship

Applications can be made in any subject area.

Who is eligible:

International (non-EU) students only are eligible to apply. Applicants must have been accepted (conditionally or unconditionally) for admission by Swansea University as a full-time postgraduate research student at the time of application.

Awards are made for the minimum full-time study candidature period of the research degree scheme followed, i.e. PhD maximum 3 years.  

  

Further information:

Each award covers the difference between the Overseas tuition fee for the relevant subject and the Home/EU student tuition fee. They are tenable for full-time study for a PhD for those international students intending to commence research study at Swansea University in September/October 2008, and can be held for a maximum of three years.

The objective of the ORSAS scheme is to encourage exceptional overseas postgraduate research students to undertake their research in the UK. The only criteria for winning an award are academic ability and research potential.

Applicants should send their completed application form, together with external references and academic transcript, to the Postgraduate Admissions Tutor in the Department or School in which they intend to study.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by the Research Faculty Office by 2nd May 2008.
