Who can apply
- UK/EU/International students with an excellent undergraduate record in the subject they intend to study for the MA; must show their motivation to do this and must propose a suitable scheme of study that falls within the research interests of School staff
- Available to students of MA (Res) degree in French, German or Italian Studies.
- In order to be considered for this Studentship - you should intend to cover a subject-area that falls within the School Research Theme ‘Modern European Languages and Cultures’, but may be made in any area of research in French, German or Italian studies in which the School is active
What is it worth
- This Studentship provides £10,000 to cover tuition fees (currently £3500 for UK/EU students; £8800 for others) and a contribution to maintenance costs. Candidates are also expected to apply, where feasible, for MA and then PhD funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council
- It is available (dependent on eligibility) for 1 year only; successful applicants will be expected to find funding for the PhD from another source
