6 Full Tuition Awards open to European Students!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The following countries are eligible:

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

2. Applicants from all backgrounds (technical or non-technical) are eligible. The minimum pre-requisite is to hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (including at least 3 years of studies) and to present a proof of English proficiency (except for native English speakers or those who have been studying in English)

3. Description of the awards: 3 full scholarships (of 25,000€ each) for MSS 2008-2009 and 3 full scholarships (of 25,000€ each) for MSM 2008-2009. These amounts include all the tuition fees but not the living costs or travel to and from Strasbourg. Once the full scholarships are awarded, a deposit of 400€ will be requested to confirm the participation to the Masters and secure the scholarship (to be refunded after the completion of Module 1).

4. How to apply: through the usual online application system

5. Selection process: after going through the usual ISU evaluation by the ISU Admissions Committee, the very best candidates will go through a final round of selection by a jury. Finalists may receive partial scholarship offers through the University’s regular funding process, but they will be also notified that their application has been selected for presentation to the scholarship challenge jury. If selected for one of the six full scholarships, students will receive that award in place of any partial scholarship previously offered.

6. Evaluation criteria: academic merit, professional experience, extra-curricular activities, motivation essay, letters of evaluation. Phone interviews may take place if the jury finds it necessary.

7. Applicants from the 3 previous years, who wish to participate in this competition, will not have to reapply online but will be requested to send us by email an updated resume and essay. Applicants that submitted an application more than 3 years ago (i.e. for Masters 2004-2005 and before) will have to fully re-apply.

8. Applicants may only apply for MSS or MSM scholarships, not for both
9. Application deadline: 15 March 2008. Winners will be notified by email within four weeks after the deadline. The notification must be acknowledged by the Winners within two weeks, failure to acknowledge the notification will be regarded as a forfeit. After acknowledgement (and no objection), winners names will be made public.

10. The prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable.

11. ISU reserves the right to extend or discontinue the competition, at any stage, for any reason.

12. All personal details provided by the participants will be held by ISU and not be forwarded to any other organizations.

13. Participation in the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
