The American Association for Thoracic Surgery announces the Michael E. DeBakey Research Scholarship to provide an opportunity for research, training and experience for North American surgeons committed to pursuing an academic career in cardiothoracic surgery. The scholarship will be funded by the Graham Education and Research Foundation and administered by the Association. The research program must be undertaken within the first three years after completion of an approved cardiothoracic residency. Applications for the scholarship must be submitted during the candidate's first two years in an academic position. The duration of the scholarship is to be two years. The yearly stipend shall be $80,000 paid to the host institution for support of salary, research supplies, travel and other legitimate academic expenses of the scholar. Erasmus Mundus Masters Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics Description : Applications are now accepted for AstroMundus, a 2-years international Master Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics offered by a partnership of 5 universities: University of Innsbruck (Austria), University of Padova and University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy), University of Goettingen (Germany), and University of Belgrade (Serbia). The Master Course is funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus Mundus programme, 2nd Edition, Action 1. INDONESIAN SCHOLARSHIP DARMASISWA RI PROGRAM ACADEMIC YEAR 2010/2011 DARMASISWA is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesia to study Bahasa Indonesia, arts, music and crafts. Participants can choose one of 45 different universities located in different cities in Indonesia. This program is organized by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The DARMASISWA program was started in 1974 as part of ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 this program was extended to include students from other countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and USA.
